Robin Stubbs has been Musical Director of Britannia Choral Society since 2013.
He began his career as an organ scholar at Chester Cathedral and later studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. Whilst in Manchester Robin was a staff member at the Cathedral and organist to the Huddersfield Choral Society.
After graduating, Robin moved to South Wales to become Assistant Organist at St Woolos Cathedral, Newport and to continue his studies in London, working with professional choirs and making several recordings and broadcasts. Robin began school teaching in 1990 and soon became Director of Music at a preparatory school.
In 2001 Robin moved to Jersey to take up the post of Director of Music at the Pro Cathedral and Director of vocal music at Victoria College. In 2008 he moved back to the mainland to take up his current post as Director of Music at Plymouth College Preparatory School. For 12 years he directed one of the most formidable church choirs in Cornwall — St Mary's Launceston.
Robin is Director of Music at St. Andrew’s Church, Ashburton, and Musical Director of University of Plymouth Choral Society.
